1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups
or issues?
noise canceling, etc. AirPods can be used for any age group whether you're a senior, in the mid-40s, or
background and help stay focused on what you're listening to AirPods are for anyone who wants
to have a great time.
2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?
Our product is from apple and just being from the apple company attracts tons of different audiences from all over the world because apple has created a trend for itself. This has come to the point where any apple product is cool just because it's from the brand set up for itself. Students at school tend to flex with any apple product they can get their hands on, for instants AirPods. Our product uses sound to help our audience stay focused on one object or subject they are working on. I want our commercial to show that AirPods are like an escape from reality.
3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
Our production skills gradually improved through our video. I learned progressively by sharing each other's ideas. In the beginning, I had a lot of different ideas and strategies and had no clue which way we wanted to go with our commercial. I wanted to incorporate dancing, singing, and working out all into one. When it came time to film we were at a fork in the road. I had to execute these ideas but with a lot going on our video kind of got lost in translation. By the end of the editing and filming of our AirPods commercial, I had finally worked out and somewhat organized our video to the point where I was able to have each person's ideas evenly drift without getting confused.
4. How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware, and online – in this project?
I use a variety of different technologies and editing software. I used iMovie, iPhones, laptops, the editing software CapCut, and several others. To be more specific, we filmed on an iPhone 14 (one of the newest models with 'advanced' camera settings), I edited using iMovie and CapCut, and then finally, I published our finished product on the online platform: YouTube. With the integration of different technologies, I was able to end up with our final product.
